As a Master Carpenter and Joiner with over 40 years' experience specialising in designing and making bespoke handmade furniture and fine joinery for the discerning residential market, I have frequently been asked by my clients if I have ever considered passing on my skills and experience to woodworking enthusiasts. Consequently, I have developed a range of courses specifically for the beginner and home woodworker who wishes to experience the joy and creativity of woodworking.

Details of the Masterclass in Powertools for Home Woodworkers are outlined below. I will show you how to achieve the level of expertise required to produce a truly well executed item, of which you will feel justifiably proud. These one-day courses are held at The Woodhall Institute of Craftsmanship near Guildford, Surrey where I am able to provide one-to-one instruction for up to four people at a time.

Powertools for Home Woodworkers Course

On the Powertools for Home Woodworkers course I will show you how to make a circular occasional table out of hardwood using a mitre saw, planer, band saw, biscuit jointer, router and sanders to achieve a very high standard of craftsmanship even if you have very little experience.

The total cost of the course is £300 and includes all refreshments, lunch and the wood to make this table.
